The Group aims to make embedded systems smaller, more flexible, faster and safer.
Many members of the Embedded Systems Group have extensive practical experience, having developed technologies like:
- A RADAR aid for the blind
- A generic embedded controller for experimental robots
- Energy saving motor controllers
The Embedded Systems Group is currently persuing research projects within:
- System On Chip (SoC) technology
- Robot controller architecture
- Medical and agricultural applications of embedded systems
