Natural Interactive Systems

The natural interactive systems (NIS) group at the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute for Production Technology (MIP), Odense University, Denmark, does fundamental and applied research in natural interactive systems including spoken language dialogue systems and web-based collaborative systems, emphasising the development of novel theory, concepts, methods and software tools in close interaction with the development of demonstrators of advanced practical systems. The NIS group is identical to what was formerly the Centre for Cognitive Science (CCS) at Roskilde University, Denmark. In April 1997 CCS moved to MIP at Odense University and became the NIS group.
